Welcome to my blog about the Parks & Peaks iPhone & iPad app and its development. After 30 years as an Analyst/Programmer working on many types of business applications, I decided to develop an app!  Parks & Peaks were looking for someone to develop an iPhone app so here it is and its free to download from the App Store!

Parks & Peaks is an Australian website that collects data from Amateur Radio operators who get out of their shacks and operate their radios portable in parks or on peaks.  It also collects data from those who Spot them.

These are the activities that the app supports:

• SOTA – Summits on the Air
• WWFF – World Wide Flora and Fauna in amateur radio
• KRMNPA – Keith Roget Memorial National Parks Award
• SANPCPA – VK5 National & Conservation Parks Award
• SIOTA – Silos on the Air
• SHIRES
• IOTA – Islands on the Air
• ZLOTA – New Zealand on the Air
• HEMA – HuMPs Excluding Marilyns Award
• POTA – Parks on the Air

It will also produce multiple logs for one activation, so if you are on a Summit in a WWFF Park with a Pota reference, you will get 3 logs, one for SOTA, one for WWFF and one for POTA.
